Black Mandala on Jewel-Tone Glass

These henna tea cups bring the artistry of Moroccan tea culture to your table — six mouth-blown glasses in sapphire blue, emerald green, amber orange, rose pink, amethyst purple, and ruby red, each hand-painted with black mandala patterns in raised enamel. The fine-line mehendi designs are piped with a fine-tipped applicator, creating a lace-like tactile overlay on the exterior while the interior remains smooth, food-safe glass.

  • Set of 6 jewel-tone glasses — one each in sapphire, emerald, amber, rose, amethyst, and ruby
  • Hand-piped black enamel with raised texture — mandalas, swirls, and teardrop motifs
  • Mouth-blown recycled glass by Younes; hand-painted by Fatima in Marrakech
  • 8 cm H x 5 cm D, 2.7 oz capacity per glass
  • Food Contact Safe, Lead-Free & Non-Toxic
  • No metal holders — lightweight and comfortable in the hand

From Ourika Road to Your Table

At Younes’s workshop on Ourika Road outside Marrakech, each glass is shaped from recycled glass using only the force of breath — no moulds, no machines. Once cooled, Fatima applies the black enamel decoration by hand, piping intricate mandala patterns in the traditional mehendi style. Learn more about how Moroccan tea glasses are made — from furnace to finished piece. Meet Younes, the master glassblower, whose two decades of practice shape every glass.

Care and Styling

Hand wash gently in warm water; avoid abrasive scrubbing and do not soak or use the dishwasher. The raised exterior enamel is tactile and intricate — gentle handling preserves the pattern. For full guidance, see our guide to caring for Moroccan teaware. Slight variations in shape and tiny air bubbles between pieces are the hallmarks of authentic mouth-blown glassmaking, not defects.

A complete set of six makes a thoughtful gift for a tea lover or a vibrant addition to your everyday table. Browse our full tea glass collection or pair these cups with a Moroccan teapot for the full service. Interested in larger quantities? Explore our wholesale Moroccan products programme.
