Shipping Methods

At Marrakeche Crafts, we offer two convenient shipping options to deliver our handcrafted Moroccan treasures to your doorstep:

FREE Standard Shipping

• United States & Europe: 7-15 business days
• International: 10-25 business days
• No minimum order requirement
• Available for all orders worldwide (except excluded countries)

Express Shipping

• United States: 3-6 business days (DHL Express)
• Europe: 2-5 business days
• International: 4-10 business days
• Rates calculated at checkout based on destination and package dimensions

Order Processing & Fulfillment

• In-stock items: packed the same day and shipped within 1-3 business days (usually the next business day)
• Made-to-order items: production time is shown on each product page before shipping (for example, 5-7 days for made-to-order poufs, 5-8 days for brass lamps, and about 30 days for rugs woven to order)
• You will receive a confirmation email once your order ships, including tracking information and carrier details
• Tracking information is provided for all shipping methods

Shipping Destinations

Marrakeche Crafts ships to most countries worldwide with the following exceptions:

• Russia
• Ukraine

We reserve the right to update this list as needed due to changing political situations, carrier restrictions, or other circumstances beyond our control.

Shipping Information Requirements

To ensure proper delivery, please provide the following information during checkout:

• Full name
• Complete street address
• City
• State/Province/Region
• ZIP/Postal code
• Country
• Phone number (for delivery coordination)

We can ship to P.O. boxes for most items. However, some larger items may require a physical address for delivery.

Package Size and Weight Restrictions

For packages exceeding 1.5 square meters in dimension, shipments will be split into multiple packages to ensure safe delivery. This may affect delivery timeframes.

International Orders & Customs

Import Duties & Taxes:

International Orders & Customs (general)

We comply with all destination-country customs rules. For US orders, Marrakeche Crafts covers import duties and clearance fees (see section above). For other countries, duties/taxes may apply per local law

Customs Documentation

We mark all international shipments as merchandise with the accurate declared value of the items. We cannot mark merchandise as “gifts” or alter declared values.

Customs Delays:

Customs clearance procedures vary by country and may cause delays beyond our control. These delays are not counted within our standard delivery timeframes.

United States — Import Duties (Effective Aug 29, 2025)

• Marrakeche Crafts covers and prepays US import duties and customs clearance fees for all US orders. You will not be charged import duties at checkout or upon delivery.
• What’s included: Import duties and carrier clearance fees.
• What’s not included: Any sales tax/VAT mandated by US authorities (rare for most shipments) or address correction/return-to-sender fees due to incorrect addresses.
• Accurate declarations: We declare the true value of goods and cannot mark orders as “gifts.”

Shipping Delays & Issues

• Delivery timeframes are estimates only and not guaranteed
• Factors beyond our control (weather conditions, customs delays, carrier issues) may affect delivery times
• In rare cases, delays may extend up to 60 days for international shipments
• For lost or damaged packages, we will arrange replacement shipping or issue a refund
• Customers must notify us within 24 hours of delivery if a package arrives damaged, along with photos documenting the damage

Shipping Insurance

All packages include basic shipping insurance through our shipping providers. This insurance covers loss or damage during transit. Additional insurance options are not available for purchase by customers.

Change of Address

If you need to change your shipping address after placing an order:

• Contact us immediately at [email protected]
• We can only modify shipping details if the order has not yet been processed
• Once an order has shipped, we cannot redirect it to a different address

Holiday Shipping 2026: Order by These Dates for Christmas

Every piece we send is made by hand in Marrakech, and some are made to order, so a little planning goes a long way at Christmas. For delivery to the United States by December 24, please order by:

These are our recommended order-by dates, based on how long our recent parcels to the US actually took. They aren’t a guarantee: carriers are busiest in December, so the earlier you order, the safer. At checkout you’ll see an estimated arrival date for each shipping option.

Missed a date? Choose DHL Express, or contact us and we’ll tell you honestly whether your order can still make it. Shipping somewhere other than the US? Send us your country and we’ll give you the latest safe date.

Good to know: we don’t dispatch on November 6 and November 18 (Moroccan public holidays), and US carriers don’t deliver on Thanksgiving (November 26).
