Brass Drum Pendant Light – Customizable Size to 27.5″

A Modern Brass Drum Pendant Light, Handcrafted in Marrakech

This brass drum pendant light bridges clean contemporary design with generations of Moroccan metalworking expertise. Shaped in master metalworker Abdul Jalil‘s atelier in Marrakech’s historic Souq Nhas, each fixture carries a hand-painted gradient patina on the exterior—shifting from rich bronze to champagne brass—while the interior retains raw brass that reflects warm, ambient light downward. Nine customizable diameters, from 7.8″ to 27.5″, let you scale this pendant from an intimate kitchen nook to a grand foyer installation.

Artisan Provenance and Craft

Abdul Jalil’s workshop operates inside Marrakech’s Souq Nhas—the copper and metalworkers’ quarter where artisans have shaped brass fixtures by hand for centuries. Each drum shade is individually formed and finished using traditional Moroccan metalwork techniques that produce the distinctive gradient patina without chemical plating. Because every finish is hand-applied, subtle tonal variations between individual pieces are a natural characteristic of the process and not a defect.

Styling and Care

The smooth brass drum silhouette suits modern, transitional, and minimalist interiors alike. A single pendant anchors a dining table or reading corner; two or three in parallel create a striking rhythm over a kitchen island. Wipe the exterior gently with a soft dry cloth—avoid liquid brass polish, which can strip the hand-painted patina.
