Each sconce is hand-pierced and chiseled by master metalworker Abdul Jalil in Marrakech’s Souk Nhas, the historic copper and brass quarter where artisans have practiced Serrouj pierced fretwork for generations. In this quarter of the Marrakech medina, brass artisans plot and cut each opening by hand, chisel the surrounding engraving, and polish the surface — no stamped or laser-cut shortcuts are used.
