This hand-painted Moroccan glass tea set brings the colors of a zellige courtyard to your table. The 7-piece service pairs a clear borosilicate teapot with four matching tea glasses, a lidded sugar bowl and a hand-engraved silver-plated tray, ready to pour mint tea for four guests. Includes 100 g Moroccan tea leaves.
Key Features
- Complete 7-piece service for 4: 650 ml teapot, 4 tea glasses, lidded sugar bowl and round tray (approx. 35 cm).
- Stovetop-ready teapot: heat-resistant borosilicate glass that can warm over a low flame, so you can watch the mint leaves steep.
- Hand-painted décor: red, green, blue and white rosettes outlined in gold, set beneath a gold lattice band that repeats on every piece.
- Hamsa tassel: a silver Hamsa charm and soft silver-grey tassel hang from the lid, a traditional symbol of welcome and protection.
- Engraved tray: silver-plated brass with a hand-engraved floral and arabesque border.
- Materials: borosilicate glass teapot; glass tea glasses and sugar bowl; silver-plated brass tray.
- Food contact safe: lead-free and non-toxic for everyday tea service.
Made by Hand in Marrakech
The tea glasses are mouth-blown, and every glass piece is hand-painted, in the Marrakech workshop of Younes, our Marrakech glassblower, where each rosette is filled in by hand, so small variations in line and color are part of the piece. The tray comes from a separate metal workshop: its border is engraved with the traditional naqsh technique by Kamal, master of silver-plated crafts.
A Set Made for the Tea Ritual
In Morocco, serving atay is how a host says welcome. The glass teapot lets guests see the green tea and fresh mint as they brew, and the high pour into small glasses raises the foam that marks a well-made glass. Our complete Moroccan tea ceremony guide walks you through brewing, sweetening and pouring step by step. Set out on a coffee table, kitchen island or terrace, it makes a thoughtful housewarming gift for anyone who loves to host.
Care
- Hand wash the glasses, teapot and sugar bowl in warm water with a soft sponge to protect the painted décor.
- Heat the teapot gradually on a low flame and avoid sudden temperature changes.
- Dry the tray straight after washing and buff it with a soft cloth to keep the silver finish bright.
