The Artisan Story

Made by Kamal and his team in Marrakech’s medina using traditional repoussé — a technique in which the brass body is worked from the reverse side with a rounded punch to push the metal outward and form the scenic relief. The depth and definition of each raised section depends on how many passes the artisan makes, working the same area repeatedly until the motifs achieve the right visual weight.
