Master Metalwork: Three Days of Traditional Craftsmanship

Created by skilled brass artisans in Marrakech, each teapot requires three to four days of dedicated handcrafting. Metalworkers shape solid brass sheets through traditional Moroccan metalworking techniques including hammering, forming, and precision soldering to create the distinctive curved body and spout. The multi-tiered lid with its ornate finial demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, while the decorative engraved bands are carefully etched by hand. Master craftsman Kamal and his workshop team finish each piece with meticulous hand-polishing to achieve the lustrous mirror-like surface that defines quality brass kitchenware.

Beyond its practical function as a tea brewing vessel, this brass teapot represents generational quality and cultural preservation. The solid brass construction means this piece can serve families for decades, developing a rich patina over time or maintaining its brilliant shine with occasional polishing. 1. Brenna Sims

Bought this to replace an old teapot actually purchased in Morocco, after it was lost in a move years ago. Never thought I’d find another authentic Moroccan teapot to go with the set of tea glasses I had that wouldn’t be incredibly expensive or cost too much to ship to the US. This teapot is PERFECT. I made up a pot of traditional Moroccan mint tea in it immediately. It was delicious, of course.

  2. Robert

Exactly what I was looking for: an authentic Moroccan teapot for making traditional mint tea. It was exactly what I remembered from my time in the Peace Corps in Meknes, Morocco 1977-79. Packaged perfectly for shipping, and arrived quite expeditiously, at an excellent price.
