These hand-painted beldi glasses bring together the natural aqua tint of Moroccan recycled glass and delicate white henna-style decoration in a set of six. Each glass carries a lattice of geometric lines, teardrop accents, and fine dotting applied by hand in raised white enamel — a tactile pattern that mirrors traditional Moroccan henna art on the surface of the classic beldi form. The soft turquoise colour comes from the recycled glass composition itself, not from added dye, and the thicker base sections show a deeper tint.

- Slight variations in tint, tiny bubbles, and subtle shape differences between pieces are hallmarks of mouth-blown recycled glass, not defects
Made on Ourika Road, Marrakech
Younes shapes each glass by mouth-blowing molten recycled glass at his Ourika Road workshop outside Marrakech. Once cooled, Fatima and family decorators apply the white henna-style patterns by hand using fine enamel tools. In Moroccan glassmaking, a single glassblower and a single decorator working in sequence is the mark of a genuine small-batch workshop, not a factory. Learn more about how Moroccan tea glasses are made and meet Younes, the master glassblower.
Care and Styling
Pour freshly brewed mint tea directly into the glass — the beldi shape concentrates the aroma. Hand-wash in warm water and avoid abrasive scrubbing or prolonged soaking to keep the enamel patterns intact. The dishwasher is not recommended for hand-painted glass. For detailed guidance, see our guide to caring for Moroccan teaware. On a table or shelf, the aqua-tinted glass catches light beautifully — arrange the set alongside a brass tray for a Moroccan tea-service spread, or gift them to a fellow tea lover who appreciates artisan glassware.
