The spicy (Khlii) is a Moroccan preserved meat in tallow fat and olive oil. The fresh cuts of meat are marinated with cumin, coriander, and garlic and then dried in the sun before cooking in a mixture of beef tallow (animal fat), oil, and water. The Moroccan preserved meat confit can be stored safely for a year or even more at room temperature. Ideal for breakfast with some eggs or tomato sauce, Khlii will give you the right energy. Khlii is to Moroccans what bacon is to Americans, a way of life, and a must-have in every kitchen.
