This geometric medallion silver teapot is the only piece in the collection with three distinct circular medallion motifs placed at equal intervals around the body — not a continuous engraved band, not a single central motif, but three complete geometric medallions spaced equally around the circumference. Each medallion contains a geometric cross motif framed by fine beaded borders, hand-engraved individually into the silver-plated brass surface.
Three Separate Geometric Medallions
Three circular frames sit at 0°, 120°, and 240° around the body, each holding a geometric cross motif with beaded borders. Between the medallions, the mirror-polished surface reflects light, creating a rhythm that differs from continuous band engraving — three distinct focal points rather than an unbroken repeating pattern.
Silver-Plated Brass with Hand-Engraved Detail
The teapot is crafted from silver-plated brass, giving it the weight and warmth of traditional Moroccan metalwork. Every line of the geometric cross motifs and beaded borders is cut by hand using fine engraving tools — a technique known in Marrakech as naqsh, where the artisan works the metal surface with a steel burin to incise decorative patterns directly into the surface.
Kamal, a silver-plated brass specialist working in the Marrakech medina, hand-engraves each teapot in his workshop. His pieces carry the precision and restraint of traditional Moroccan geometric design, where symmetry and spacing matter as much as the motif itself.
Two Generous Sizes for Moroccan Mint Tea
Available in two capacities: Large (850ml / 29oz, approximately 8 servings) and Extra Large (1.3L / 45oz, approximately 12 servings). The round bulbous body, gooseneck spout, and arched handle rest on three tripod feet, with a domed lid topped by a finial. A built-in spout strainer catches loose mint leaves when pouring.
For those who appreciate the ritual of Moroccan mint tea, this teapot serves as both a functional vessel and a display piece. Learn more about the Moroccan tea ceremony and the traditions behind atay service.
Food-Safe and Everyday Ready
The teapot is food contact safe, lead-free, and non-toxic — suitable for serving Moroccan mint tea or any hot tea. The metal handle may get hot during pouring, so use a cloth for a comfortable grip. The teapot weighs approximately 1 kg (2.2 lb).
Care and Styling
Hand wash gently with mild soap, dry promptly with a soft cloth, and avoid abrasive cleaners or dishwasher use. With proper care, the silver-plated finish will retain its reflective shine. See our teapot care guide for full maintenance instructions.
On a marble coffee table or an antique wooden surface, the three medallions create shifting visual interest as light moves across the body — an accent for a curated Moroccan display that rewards close inspection. This teapot also makes a considered gift for a collector who appreciates geometric medallion engraving.
Complete the Moroccan tea service: pair this teapot with a complete tea set including beldi glasses and a serving tray, or choose individual beldi tea glasses and a hand-engraved serving tray separately.
Marrakeche offers this teapot individually and through our wholesale Moroccan products programme for trade buyers seeking hand-engraved silver-plated teapots in quantity.
