The Weavers Behind This Rug

This rug is woven by the Tiftilin weavers of the Middle Atlas — Amazigh women in the cedar-forested highlands south of Fès who have passed their craft from mother to daughter across generations. Each rug is woven on a vertical loom over weeks of sustained work. Checkered Berber rugs from this Middle Atlas tradition use a grid motif that predates modern minimalism by centuries, with each square individually hand-tufted to create the ombré gradient effect. Because every rug is made to order, please allow approximately 30 days of production time before shipping. Slight variations in color and pattern are a natural result of the handweaving process and vegetable-dye method.

Care & Longevity

Natural wool rewards consistent, simple care.
