Each glass in this set of six hamsa tea glasses carries the hand-painted hamsa hand — the Moroccan symbol of protection and blessing — surrounded by delicate scrollwork in silver tones. Six jewel-tone cups shift colour with the light: sapphire blue, emerald green, ruby red, amethyst purple, amber, and crystal clear, each one a different hue so guests can claim their own glass at the table.
What Makes These Glasses Distinctive
- Set of six mouth-blown glasses, each in a different jewel tone
- Hand-painted hamsa hand and scrollwork decoration on every glass
- 8 cm tall × 5 cm diameter, 2.7 oz capacity per glass
- Food contact safe and lead-free for daily mint tea service
- Natural variations and tiny bubbles signal authentic mouth-blown glassmaking
From Younes’s Workshop Near Marrakech
Younes shapes each glass by mouth at his glassblowing workshop near Marrakech — no moulds, no machines, just breath and skill refined over two decades. Learn more about how Moroccan tea glasses are made and the centuries-old craft behind each piece. Once the glass cools, the hamsa hand and surrounding scrollwork are painted by hand directly onto the surface, giving each piece its own subtle character. In Moroccan glassmaking, the combination of a single glassblower and a single decorator working in sequence is a mark of a genuine small-batch workshop, not a factory.
Styling and Gifting
Arrange the full set on a tray for a Moroccan tea service, or mix two or three colours into a tablescape for everyday use. These hamsa tea glasses make a meaningful housewarming gift — the hamsa hand carries cultural significance as a blessing for the home. Pair them with a Moroccan teapot for a complete service.
Care
Hand-wash in warm water and avoid abrasive scrubbing or soaking to preserve the hand-painted decoration. For full guidance, see our guide to caring for Moroccan teaware. Interested in larger quantities for a restaurant or hospitality setting? Explore our wholesale Moroccan products programme.
