The Artisan Behind This Bag

Each bag is cut and stitched by Omar, the Marrakech leather craftsman, who works inside the Bab Debbagh tannery district — where hides are still tanned using pomegranate rind, henna, and indigo in open limestone pits, following methods practiced for over five hundred years. Omar selects full-grain cow leather, cuts each panel by hand, and stitches every seam with waxed thread tight enough to carry a full workday’s load without a single skip. Bab Debbagh is one of the few remaining places on earth where the complete tanning cycle — from raw hide to finished leather — happens within two kilometers of where the bag is assembled.

Sizing & Fit

With an approximately 50 cm strap drop, this tote sits comfortably on the shoulder or carries by hand. The zip-top opening keeps contents secure without a narrow track that catches fabric.
