An Embroidered Leather Round Pouf Built for Daily Life
This embroidered leather round pouf brings together full-grain goat leather and a hand-stitched geometric embroidery pattern that traces across the top panel and side seams. Crafted in Marrakech’s Souk Talaa leather district, each pouf is cut, stitched, and embroidered by hand — no machine shortcuts, no bonded filler panels. The warm brown and light tan leather develops character with age, and the cream-colored geometric thread gives the surface a textured dimensionality you can see and feel.
Construction & Surface Detail
- Round shape: 21″ diameter × 16″ height — comfortable as a footrest, low seat, or side table
- Full-grain goat leather: supple yet structured, with natural grain visible on every panel
- Geometric embroidery: hand-embroidered cream-colored geometric pattern across the top and side panels — each stitch placed by hand
- Hidden bottom zipper: allows you to fill and refill the pouf as needed
- Filled or unfilled: choose filled (ready to use, stuffed with polystyrene foam and cotton) or unfilled (ships flat for lower freight cost)
- Slight color variation: normal for hand-dyed leather — tonal shifts between panels are a mark of handmade work, not a defect
- Weight capacity: holds up to ~250 lb (115 kg) when filled
The Craft Behind This Pouf
Abdelilah, the master leather artisan behind our poufs, and his team work in the workshops of Marrakech’s Souk Talaa district, selecting full-grain goat leather for consistent suppleness before hand-cutting each panel to a round template. The blanket-stitch seams are sewn through both layers of leather simultaneously — a technique that creates a visible raised ridge along every join and distributes stress across the stitch, not the hide. Hand-stitched Moroccan leather poufs made with full-grain goat leather and traditional blanket-stitch construction bear regular seating loads when properly filled and maintained. Each geometric embroidery motif is hand-traced onto the leather surface and then stitched one point at a time, producing the clean, raised pattern that distinguishes this pouf from plain-leather alternatives.
Filling Your Pouf
This pouf is available filled or unfilled. The filled version ships ready to use, stuffed with polystyrene foam and cotton. The unfilled version ships flat, reducing freight cost — fill it yourself with shredded foam, recycled fabric scraps, or densely packed old clothing. Avoid loose polyfill or feathers, which shift and compress flat over time. Follow our step-by-step guide to filling your pouf for exact fill volumes and recommended materials.
Care
Wipe the leather surface with a barely damp cloth; never saturate. Condition two to three times a year to keep the full-grain goat leather supple and prevent cracking. Full guidance, including storage and stain removal, is in our leather care guide.
Styling & Gift Ideas
Whether you are grounding a reading nook, adding a warm accent beside a linen sofa, or looking for a thoughtful housewarming gift, this embroidered round pouf adapts without demanding space. Its low profile works equally well as a meditation seat, a casual footrest, or a tray-topped surface for a tea service — five ways to style a Moroccan pouf can help you imagine more placements.

Catrina Won –
I am so happy with this pouf! I got unfilled and stuffed a TON of blankets and clothes in it, and it looks and feels great. There’s no nasty smell, and even though my cats and my toddler have been playing with it, no stains or noticeable scratches yet (fingers crossed!). Love the unique design – I think it’s prettier than most poufs I’ve seen (and that’s saying something).

I’m really liking the pouf. I was going to buy one while in Morocco, but regrettably decided against it. Once home I went online and found your site and placed an order. Definitely worth getting, and happy with the product.
