Craft and Origin
Younes has practised mouth-blown glassmaking for over two decades at his Ourika Road production workshop outside Marrakech. Each clear tumbler is shaped without moulds, so no two pieces are identical. The brass and silver-tone metal holders are crafted separately by local metalworkers using traditional filigree techniques — the pierced S-curves and floral motifs draw on the ornamental language found across Marrakech metalwork. Can the metal holders be removed?
No — the filigree holders are fixed in place and cannot be separated from the glass. Hand-wash carefully around the metalwork.
