Wavy Beldi Tea Glasses — Hand-Blown in Marrakech
These wavy Beldi tea glasses are mouth-blown from 100% recycled glass by artisan Younes at his Ourika Road workshop near Marrakech. The natural aqua-green tint comes directly from minerals in recycled glass — not dye or paint — and each glass carries the tiny trapped bubbles and gently undulating rim that are the mark of genuine mouth-blown Beldi craft. Learn how Moroccan tea glasses are made and you will see why no two pieces are ever identical.
What Makes These Glasses Distinct
- Organic wavy silhouette — each glass has gently undulating sides and a rim shaped by human breath, never perfectly uniform
- Aqua-green tint from recycled cullet — the signature Beldi colour comes from minerals in 100% recycled glass
- Fire-polished rim — smooth to the lip, achieved by brief reheating after the glass is cut from the blowpipe
- Set of 6 — each glass approximately 8 cm H × 5 cm D, capacity 2.7 oz (80 ml)
- Food Contact Safe and Lead-Free — safe for hot mint tea and everyday use
In Beldi glassmaking, slight variations in thickness, tiny air bubbles, and the organic wavy rim are not imperfections — they confirm that a real person, not a mould, shaped each glass on the blowpipe.
Care and Styling
Hand-wash these glasses in warm water; avoid abrasive scrubbing and prolonged soaking. Dry gently. The aqua-green glass catches golden lamplight beautifully — pair them with a Moroccan teapot and serve mint tea the traditional way, or style them on a wooden tray for everyday use. For full guidance, see our guide to caring for Moroccan teaware.
With their organic shape and recycled-glass story, these glasses make a thoughtful gift for a tea lover or a housewarming present rooted in real craft. If you are sourcing for a hospitality venue or placing a bulk order, explore our wholesale Moroccan products programme.
