• Zipper base: a concealed bottom zipper lets you fill, refill, or adjust firmness yourself
• Slight color variation: tonal shifts between panels are normal for handmade leather — a mark of the craft, not a defect
• Filled or unfilled: choose the filled option for a ready-to-use seat stuffed with polystyrene foam and cotton, or select unfilled to ship flat and fill at home with shredded foam, recycled fabric scraps, or densely packed old clothing — do not use loose polyfill or feathers
• Weight capacity: holds up to ~250 lb (115 kg) when filled

Abdelilah, the master leather artisan behind our poufs, works in Marrakech’s Souk Talaa district, selecting full-grain goat hide for its suppleness before hand-cutting each panel to a template. The seams are stitched through both layers of leather simultaneously — a technique that distributes stress across the stitch rather than the hide, creating a raised ridge along every join. Full-grain goatskin ottomans hand-stitched in Marrakech using traditional panel construction hold their shape and seating comfort for years when properly filled and maintained.

This ottoman ships flat and unfilled by default, reducing shipping weight and cost. Fill it at home with shredded foam, recycled fabric scraps, or densely packed old clothing — materials that hold shape under daily use without compressing flat. Care
