A Matching Pair Built for Real Living
This square leather ottoman set of 2 pairs two handcrafted floor poufs designed to work together — push them side by side for a low coffee table, scatter them as extra seating, or keep one at each end of the sofa. Each pouf is hand-cut from full-grain goat leather and assembled with contrast topstitching and a four-panel top design that gives the square form its clean geometric character.
Construction & Surface Detail
- Square shape: available in 14 size options from 10″ to 24″ — choose smaller sizes for accent seating and larger sizes that hold a tray as a coffee table surface
- Full-grain goat leather: supple enough to shape comfortably under you, strong enough for daily use — each hide carries natural grain variations that make every pouf one of a kind
- Four-panel top with contrast topstitching: hand-stitched seams create visible raised lines along each join, reinforcing the structure while giving the surface its geometric detail
- Zipper closure: a concealed zipper at the base lets you fill, adjust firmness, or refill the pouf at any time
- Slight color variation: natural in hand-dyed leather — tonal shifts between panels are a mark of handmade work, not a defect
- Ships flat (unfilled) by default: a filled option is also available; the unfilled default lowers freight cost and lets you choose your own fill firmness — fill with shredded foam, recycled fabric scraps, or densely packed old clothing
The Craft Behind This Pair
Abdelilah, the master leather artisan behind our poufs, works in the Souk Talaa leather district of Marrakech, selecting goat hides for suppleness before hand-cutting each panel to a template and stitching the seams through both leather layers at once. Full-grain goat leather poufs hand-stitched in Marrakech with contrast topstitching can support seating loads of over 250 lbs per pouf when properly filled. Because this set is made to order in small batches, please allow 5–7 business days for production before shipping.
Filling Your Poufs
Each pouf ships flat and unfilled to reduce shipping weight and cost. Fill with shredded foam, recycled fabric scraps, or densely packed old clothing — materials that hold shape under load without compressing flat over time. Do not use loose polyfill or feathers, which shift and flatten. Follow our step-by-step guide to filling your pouf for exact fill volumes and techniques.
Care
Wipe the leather surface with a barely damp cloth; never saturate. Condition two to three times a year to keep the goat leather from stiffening or cracking. Full guidance, including stain removal and storage tips, is in our leather care guide.

For anyone furnishing a characterful home, this matching pair makes a considered addition — whether you are settling into a new space or refreshing the room you already love. See five ways to style a Moroccan pouf for placement ideas.
A: We offer both options! You can choose a pre-stuffed pouf with premium polyester filling ready to use, or select the unstuffed version with a bottom zipper to fill yourself. The unstuffed option dramatically reduces shipping costs and allows you to customize the firmness to your preference.
A: For a 16x16" square: 50-60 ounces of polyester fiberfill. For 18x18": 60-70 ounces. You can also use old clothes or towels—about 3/4 to one full laundry basket compressed tightly.
A: This is critical! Pack all four corners FIRST, pushing filling deep into each corner until they're very firm. Then stuff the edges, and fill the center last. Soft corners = saggy pouf. The corners should feel almost hard initially. See our complete filling guide.
A: They weren't packed firmly enough. Unzip and add more filling specifically to the corners. Square poufs need extra-firm corner packing to maintain their angular shape—this is the #1 mistake people make.
A: Very, very firm—especially in the corners. It should feel too hard when you first fill it. The square shape loses definition quickly if under-stuffed, unlike round poufs which are more forgiving.
A: Yes! When properly filled (especially the corners), this square pouf supports up to 250 pounds. Make sure corners are packed tight for stability—soft corners make it feel unstable when you sit.
A: Yes! The flat edges align perfectly with furniture and don't roll or shift. The angular top is more stable for trays, drinks, or books. It looks intentional as a table, not improvised.
A: Wipe all surfaces with a soft, dry cloth weekly—the flat top collects dust. Blot spills immediately. Pay attention to the corner seams; use a small brush to clean dust from edges. Condition the leather every 6-12 months.
A: 2-3 days for production, then 7-15 days standard shipping (USA/Europe) with free shipping. Square poufs pack flatter than round ones, making them economical to ship. Express options available.
A: Yes, handcrafted in Marrakech by master artisans. Creating perfect 90-degree corners in leather requires exceptional skill. With proper care and firm stuffing, it will last 10-20+ years. The leather develops a beautiful patina over time.

LOVE love love these. Was confused at first at them arriving flat, (makes sense in hindsight) but after researching how to fill them they look brilliant ! Old clothes and bedding etc give weight to the pouffe and sturdiness. They looks smashing next to our new shelves. Definitely recommend this product and thanks !!!!

Good quality. Found great use of my old clothes and blankets for stuffing. You’d never know these were such a good hidden closet.
