Perforated Brass Table Lamp — Shadow Patterns by Hand
This perforated brass table lamp transforms any room into a sanctuary of warm, dancing light. Hand-engraved geometric and floral patterns cut into solid brass panels project intricate shadow designs across walls and ceilings when illuminated. Crafted by master metalworker Abdul Jalil in his Marrakech workshop, each lamp uses traditional dinanderie techniques passed down through generations of Moroccan metalsmiths.

Craftsmanship and Provenance
Each perforated brass table lamp begins as a flat sheet of brass that Abdul Jalil’s workshop in the Marrakech medina traces, pierces, and engraves entirely by hand. The traditional Moroccan metalwork techniques used — known as dinanderie — involve hand-piercing the brass panel with small chisels and a hammer, then polishing the completed piece to its warm gold finish. No two lamps cast identical shadow patterns; minor variations in the hand-engraving are a mark of genuine artisan craft.
This compact accent light works beautifully as a bedside lamp, a hallway anchor, or an ambient glow for a home office desk. For anyone seeking a distinctive housewarming gift, a pair of these shadow-casting lamps brings immediate warmth to a new space.
