Craft TechniqueHand Engraving, Mouth-Blown Glass

This silver engraved beldi tea set brings together eight hand-crafted pieces for a complete Moroccan tea service for six. At its centre sits a footed silver-plated brass teapot — resting on four small feet that lift it above the tray and give the service its architectural presence. Six mouth-blown beldi glasses carry the natural aqua tone that only recycled glass blown at over 1,200°C can produce, and a round engraved tray grounds the set with cross-and-interlace geometric patterns cut by hand.

What the Eight-Piece Set Includes

  • Footed silver-plated brass teapot (about 20 x 13 cm, 650–700 ml capacity) with hand-engraved naqsh geometric patterns and a decorative tassel
  • Six mouth-blown beldi glasses in natural aqua (about 10 x 4 cm each), each with a wide engraved arabesque silver band around the rim
  • Round engraved tray (35 cm diameter) in silver-plated brass with matching cross-and-interlace patterns
  • 100 g Moroccan tea leaves — included as a permanent component of every set, so you can brew your first pot right away

The natural aqua colour of these glasses is mineral-born, not dyed or coated. It comes from the mineral content in recycled glass melted at over 1,200°C, and because each piece is mouth-blown individually, the tone shifts subtly between glasses — making each one its own. All components are food contact safe, lead-free, and non-toxic.

The Artisans Behind the Set

The six beldi glasses are mouth-blown by Younes, our Marrakech glassblower, who works in the Marrakech medina using techniques passed through generations of glass artisans. The silver-plated brass teapot, tray, and glass rim bands are hand-engraved using the naqsh technique by Kamal, master of silver-plated crafts, also in his Marrakech workshop. Each cross-and-interlace line is cut by hand into the brass surface before silver plating — no machine routing, no stamped patterns.

The Moroccan Tea Ritual

In Moroccan homes, the tea service is not just a way to serve a drink — it is a gesture of hospitality, a ritual that signals welcome to family and guests alike. The footed teapot’s elevated form echoes the ceremonial presentation of a traditional Moroccan tea tray, where the teapot stands as the centrepiece. Learn more about the full ritual in our complete Moroccan tea ceremony guide.

Care & Styling

All components are hand wash only — the silver-plated brass surfaces and mouth-blown glass both require gentle care to preserve their finish. See our guide on how to care for your Moroccan teapot for step-by-step instructions. The set’s overall footprint is approximately 7.9 x 5.1 x 13.8 in (20 x 13 x 35 cm), making it suited to a dining table, sideboard, or dedicated tea table.

A considered choice for a host or tea-lover — pieces shaped by named artisans in Marrakech, not stamped by machine. Trade buyers furnishing hospitality spaces can explore our wholesale Moroccan products programme for bulk pricing on complete tea services.

Product Questions

What gives the glasses their natural aqua colour?

The aqua tone comes from mineral content in recycled glass melted at high heat, not from dye or coating. Because each glass is mouth-blown individually, small shade variations are normal.

Is the metal solid silver?

No. The teapot, tray, and glass bands are silver-plated brass, not solid silver. The naqsh patterns are hand-engraved into the silver-plated metalwork in Marrakech.

How many people does this set serve?

The set includes six glasses and a teapot with approximately 650 to 700 ml capacity, making it a complete tea service for six guests.

Absolutely gorgeous tea set and definitely premium quality! We also bought 6 other tea cups (visible on the pics) that are just as stunning! We’re really happy with our purchase. Thank you Marrakeche, and thank you artisans for crafting truly beautiful gifts.
