This leather and kilim cube ottoman combines two of Morocco’s most celebrated craft traditions in one striking piece. The body is built from genuine goatskin leather — hand-cut, vegetable-tanned, and stitched in Abdelilah’s workshop in Marrakech’s historic Bab Debbagh tanneries. The top panel is a handwoven kilim patchwork in vivid greens, burgundy, yellow, and purple, creating a bold pop of color against the rich leather sides.

Two Craft Traditions, One Piece

What makes this ottoman special is the meeting of two distinct artisan skills. The leather panels are shaped using traditional Moroccan vegetable-tanning techniques — a process using natural plant extracts rather than harsh chemicals. The kilim top is woven by hand on a floor loom, then pieced into a patchwork of geometric squares. Each panel tells its own color story, so no two ottomans are exactly alike.

This cube measures 40 × 40 × 40 cm (approximately 16 × 16 × 16 inches) — a compact size that works as extra seating, a footrest, a side table base, or a colorful accent tucked under a desk. The cube shape holds its form well and fits neatly into corners, beside sofas, or at the foot of a bed.
