Abdelilah and the leather artisans behind our poufs work in the souk workshops of Marrakech, selecting camel leather for durability and examining each hide by hand before cutting panels to template. The whipstitch construction passes through both layers of leather at once, creating a raised seam that distributes stress across the stitch rather than the hide. Hand-stitched Moroccan leather poufs made with full-grain camel leather and traditional whipstitch construction are designed to bear regular seating loads and soften naturally with use. When unfilled, this pouf ships flat — fill it at home with shredded foam, recycled fabric scraps, or densely packed old clothing for a firm seat. Care

Wipe the leather surface with a barely damp cloth; never saturate. Condition two to three times a year to keep the camel hide supple and prevent cracking.
