A Natural Leather Round Pouf Built to Belong in Every Room
This natural leather round pouf brings the warmth of handcrafted Moroccan seating into your home. Made from full-grain camel leather in Marrakech’s Souk Talaa leather district, it features an eight-pointed star embroidered across the top panel in cream contrast stitching — a traditional geometric motif placed entirely by hand. Alternating tan and brown leather panels are joined with visible whipstitch seams, giving the surface a subtle two-tone depth that shifts with the light. Measuring 20.9 x 11.8 in (53 x 30 cm), this round pouf works as a footrest, a low seat for guests, or a sturdy tray-top surface for books and tea.
Construction & Surface Detail
- Round shape: 20.9 x 11.8 in (53 x 30 cm) — sized for a comfortable footrest or single seat
- Full-grain camel leather: hand-cut panels with natural grain variation, joined by cream whipstitch seams that lock each panel edge against the next
- Eight-pointed star embroidery: hand-embroidered on the top panel in cream thread, a geometric motif rooted in Moroccan decorative tradition
- Zipper base: a concealed bottom zipper lets you fill, adjust firmness, or refill the pouf over time
- Slight color variation: natural hand-dyed leather produces tonal shifts between panels — a mark of handmade work, not a defect
- Ships flat (unfilled) by default: reduces freight cost; a filled option is also available at checkout
The Craft Behind This Pouf
Abdelilah and the leather artisans behind our poufs work in the souk workshops of Marrakech, selecting camel leather for durability and examining each hide by hand before cutting panels to template. The whipstitch construction passes through both layers of leather at once, creating a raised seam that distributes stress across the stitch rather than the hide. Hand-stitched Moroccan leather poufs made with full-grain camel leather and traditional whipstitch construction are designed to bear regular seating loads and soften naturally with use. When unfilled, this pouf ships flat — fill it at home with shredded foam, recycled fabric scraps, or densely packed old clothing for a firm seat. Do not use loose polyfill or feathers, which compress flat and shift. Follow our step-by-step guide to filling your pouf for recommended materials and fill volumes.
Care
Wipe the leather surface with a barely damp cloth; never saturate. Condition two to three times a year to keep the camel hide supple and prevent cracking. Full guidance, including stain removal and storage, is in our leather care guide. An unfilled pouf stores flat — ideal if you are furnishing a room gradually or sourcing a thoughtful housewarming piece for someone setting up a new home.

Fast shipping! From order to delivery was 7 days. The product is beautiful and I love the colour even more than in the picture. Extremely happy with this shop!! Thank you and I can’t wait to have it in my new home!

Arrived quickly and is absolutely beautiful. Stitching and quality of leather are great. Read another review and decided to also stuff my pouf with an old queen sized duvet and that worked well for what I intend to use this product for.

The colors of mine looked nothing like the photo, because of that it does not look right in the space it was intended for. I was really looking forward to the patchwork of tan and darker leather but it is just really red/orange leather all over with one or two dark patches.

Hi Olivia, thank you for sharing this, and we’re sorry the colouring of your pouf wasn’t what you had in mind for your space. Each pouf is made from hand-dyed leather panels, so the balance of tan, reddish and darker tones varies from piece to piece, and yours came out warmer and more even than the one in our photos. We’ll make that clearer on this listing. We’d really like to help: please email us at [email protected] and we’ll look at options with you.
